Richard Vandegriend

Richard Vandegriend co-founded Arya Health in 2017 and currently holds the position of Co-Founder. Prior to this, they worked at Royal Columbian Hospital as a Cardiologist and Cardiac Intensivist starting in July 2015.

Richard Vandegriend completed their Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree at the University of Alberta from 2001 to 2004. Richard then pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the same university and graduated in 2008. Following this, Richard undertook a three-year residency program in Internal Medicine from 2008 to 2011 at The University of British Columbia. From 2011 to 2014, they further specialized in Cardiology through another residency program at the same institution. In 2014, Richard attended the University of Toronto and completed a Fellowship in Cardiac Intensive Care, concluding their formal education.
