Soumendu S. has extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management. Soumendu is currently the Senior Director of Procurement at Aryaka Networks, a position they have held since July 2020. Before that, they served as the Director of Procurement at Aryaka Networks from November 2017 to July 2020. Prior to joining Aryaka Networks, Soumendu held various roles in companies such as Vanco, Reliance Industries Limited, Cable & Wireless, Yipes Enterprise Services, Virtela Technology Services Incorporated, FLAG Telecom, Tata Teleservices Ltd, and Flextronics Software Systems. These roles included responsibilities such as managing product and pricing, global sourcing strategy, commercial management, and vendor management. Soumendu has a strong background in negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and building supplier relationships.

Soumendu S. has a diverse education history. In 1988 to 2000, they attended Burdwan Town School where they obtained their SSC and HSC degrees in the field of Science. Soumendu later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communications from The University of Burdwan from 2001 to 2005. Soumendu then went on to complete an EPIB degree in International Business from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta from 2009 to 2010. In 2015, they enrolled in the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard University to further their knowledge in General Management. Soumendu also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance and Financial Management Services from Kalinga University, Raipur from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, Soumendu holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Black Belt from Tata Tele Business Services.
