David Shugar

David Shugar currently serves as the Climate & Energy Program Manager at As You Sow, where responsibilities include advancing the Say on Climate global initiative and coordinating corporate dialogues and shareholder resolutions for net-zero GHG emissions. Prior experience includes serving as a Sustainable Finance Consultant at David Shugar Consulting, where web and marketing strategies for Fund Votes were revamped, leading to its acquisition by Morningstar. As VP and Director of Digital Solutions + Impact Investing Analytics at HIP Investor, David supported client impact portfolios and developed an online data portal for sustainability ratings. Previous roles also include Energy Program Associate at As You Sow, Board Member of the California Student Sustainability Coalition, and various research and technical positions in sustainability-focused organizations. David holds an M.B.A. from Presidio Graduate School and a Bachelor's in Applied Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
