Sarang Gupta

Sarang Gupta is a Staff Data Scientist specializing in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at Asana since February 2020, focusing on user-facing ML-powered features for ranking and recommendations, alongside strategic product insights and A/B testing for LLM/GenAI features. Prior experiences include AI Research Scientist at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation, where research contributed to a publication at EMNLP 2020, and Data Scientist roles at Bloomberg, Care/of, and Goldman Sachs, addressing various data classification and predictive modeling projects. Sarang acquired a Master’s degree in Data Science from Columbia University and a dual degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, complemented by study abroad at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and an International Baccalaureate from Chinmaya International Residential School.
