James Nyame Boateng

James Nyame Boateng is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in drill and blast engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Drill & Blast Engineer at Asante Gold since December 2022, James focuses on ensuring compliance with safety and mining regulations while coordinating drilling activities. Prior to this role, James worked at Kinross Gold Corporation as an Underground Mine Planning Engineer, where responsibilities included generating mine designs and production schedules. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Trainee position at Ghana Manganese Company Ltd., where James prepared explosive reports and designed blast plans, and an internship at Perseus Mining Limited, providing support in geology and drilling operations. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology.
