Sam Mendes

Sam Mendes is an accomplished professional with over two decades of experience in the financial sector, currently serving as Programme Lead for CPS230 (Resilience Uplift) and as Customer Experience Owner at ASB Bank since January 2020. Previously, Mendes held various senior roles at FNB South Africa from September 1999 to December 2019, including Head of Delivery and Business Enablement, where enterprise solutions on core systems were enabled. Mendes also served as Executive Head of Project Operations & Process Optimisation at eBucks, focusing on project operations and process optimization initiatives, and developed strategies for travel and lifestyle. Additionally, Mendes has experience in developing and operationalizing banking segments, creating virtual channels, and pioneering digital customer engagement in the South African financial industry. Mendes holds a BCom in Management from the University of South Africa, completed in 2008.
