Sandeep Parekh

Sandeep Parekh serves as the Head of Portfolio Management at ASB Bank since August 2025, following a role as Director of Fixed Income and Rates Strategy at Commonwealth Bank from February 2024 to August 2025. Prior to these positions, Sandeep was with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand for four years, initially as Senior Manager of the Depositor Compensation Scheme and previously as Manager of Balance Sheet Design in Financial Markets, contributing to significant policy frameworks and quantitative easing programs. Earlier experience includes roles as FX/Rates Strategist at ANZ, Adviser in Financial Markets at the Reserve Bank, and various positions in trading and analysis at Mighty River Power and Forsyth Barr. Sandeep holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (First Class) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
