Alasdair Stirling

Executive Manager, Future Capability at ASC Pty Ltd

Alasdair oversees ASC’s advisory function in regards to capability development for the design, construction and sustainment of nuclear-powered submarines.

Alasdair joined ASC in November 2022. His career includes senior roles with the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors in the United Kingdom, and extensive experience working on nuclear-powered submarines, including as engineering and program authority for the Astute Class submarines (design, build and support); in-service sustainment of the Swiftsure, Trafalgar and Vanguard Classes; and design and build of the Dreadnought Class. These roles involved working closely with United States government authorities.

Alasdair also has industrial experience as Managing Director of Babcock Submarine Support Engineering, and Director of Engineering for the Babcock nuclear sector - which includes civil and naval nuclear engineering.

Alasdair is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Project Professional.
