Zach Heng, SHRM-CP, currently serves as a Senior DEI Advisor at Vanguard, focusing on leadership development and inclusive workplace strategies. Additionally, Zach is on the Board of Directors for the DC Chamber of Commerce and an Advisory Board Member for Fruit Street, a digital health company. As the Immediate Past President of Ascend Greater Washington, Zach has led initiatives for Pan Asian leadership and professional development. Zach has a history of leadership roles, including serving as Global Co-Chair of Booz Allen Hamilton's Multicultural Business Resource Group and a national board member for the FSU Alumni Association and the Asian American Chamber of Commerce. Zach is also a member of the Speaker and Senior Leaders Council for Hacking HR and has experience in digital branding and marketing through The Heng Group, LLC. Zach holds a BS in Information Technology from Florida State University.

Ascend is the first and largest non-profit in North America for Pan-Asian business professionals. Established in 2005, Ascend has grown to serve professionals and corporations across various professions and across multiple industries. The Greater Washington Chapter of Ascend is just one of the 60+ chapters across North America (professional and student combined). We are honored to serve as the chapter hub for the surrounding areas of our nation's capital providing professional development and career enhancement programs across every industry in the public and private sectors. The Greater Washington chapter also supports 6 student chapters: University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University, George Mason University, American University, and Virginia Tech.
