David Schwartz

David Schwartz, MS, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#87261). David has facilitated hundreds of group sessions in a variety of therapy modalities. He is committed to helping teens prepare themselves for a healthy and successful future and works as a group facilitator at Ascend as part of his practice. David has experience as a past clinical director of two adolescent treatment centers, as well as his own therapy practice in Westlake Village, California.

David writes a regular blog for Psychology Today’s website, titled “Adolescents Explained.” His articles focus on helping readers better understand the changes happening when children reach their teenage years. Prior to becoming a therapist, David was a successful writer and producer in the television industry.
