Sam Stroup

Sam Stroup, CPA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Finance at Ascend Nonprofit Solutions starting from October 2023. Prior to that, Sam worked at CohnReznick LLP where they held various roles including Advisory Manager from July 2021 to October 2023, Assurance Manager from July 2019 to July 2021, Senior Assurance Associate from July 2016 to July 2019, and Audit Associate from October 2014 to June 2016. Before joining CohnReznick LLP, Sam worked as a Graduate Assistant at Appalachian State University from August 2013 to July 2014. They also gained experience as an Intern at CohnReznick LLP from January 2013 to April 2013.

Sam Stroup, CPA completed a Master of Science (MS) in Accounting from Appalachian State University in 2014. Prior to that, Sam obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from the same university in 2013. In 2017, Sam obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners.
