Roxane Galvez Sphr

Roxane Galvez, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Roxane is currently the Human Resources Director at Ascend SC, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, Roxane worked at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa for almost 17 years. Roxane started in 2006 as the Assistant Director of Human Resources, and later became the Human Resources Manager. Roxane also has experience as the Director of Human Resources at Crowne Plaza Hotel, where they oversaw all HR functions and worked closely with department managers.

Roxane Galvez, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston. Roxane obtained their Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in June 2008. Additionally, they have multiple certifications from SHRM, including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) obtained in January 2015 and the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM Certification obtained in January 2015.
