Sumit Garg has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sumit started their career at Bharat Electronics as a Deputy Engineer from August 2004 to June 2007. Sumit then joined the Aditya Birla Group, where they worked in the Corporate Finance Division from June 2009 to May 2013 and in the MD's office of Ultratech Cement from June 2013 to July 2014.
After that, Sumit joined Mercator Lines Limited as the Head of the Chairman's Office from August 2014 to April 2016. Sumit then moved to Essel Infraprojects Ltd. as the General Manager of Strategy from May 2016 to May 2017.
Currently, Sumit is employed at Mahansaria Group. Sumit started as the Head of Strategy, M&A, and Business Development at Mahansaria Tyres Pvt Ltd from June 2017 to March 2021. Sumit currently holds the position of VP & Business Head of Reisemoto, the two-wheeler business of Mahansaria Group since April 2021. This role involves overseeing the business operations and driving growth in the two-wheeler sector.
Sumit Garg earned an MBA in Finance & Operations from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, completing their studies from 2000 to 2004. Sumit also completed their 12th Standard education in Science (Non Medical) at Govt. Rajindra College, Bathinda, from 1999 to 2000.

Ascenso is an off-highway tyre brand owned and promoted by Mahansaria Tyres Private Limited (MTPL). It is the third such venture by the renowned Mahansaria Family. In their journey of more than three decades, they have built two leading OHT tyre brands with global footprints. MTPL builds and benefits from the experience, knowledge, and successful track record of the father-son duo, Ashok Mahansaria and Yogesh Mahansaria, the promoters and owners of MTPL. MTPL has set up a greenfield off-highway tyre manufacturing plant in Panoli, Gujarat (India). The state-of-the-art facility, spread over 127 acres/ 55,30,000 Sq.Ft, has a manufacturing capacity of 70,000 MT built in two phases. Ascenso, as a brand, caters to the needs of the following key global segments: Agriculture, Industrial & Construction, Earth Mover, Material Handling, and Agro-Forestry. In our journey over the last 3yrs, we have released and added 500+ sizes to our portfolio. Ascenso is now distributed in over 85 plus countries. We not only offer a wide range of tyres across the applications but also customize solutions to suit specific customer requirements or applications.
