Ted Samsel

Ted Samsel has over 30 years of experience in the retirement plan industry. Ted most recently served as the Vice President of Business Development at Ascensus, where they managed relationship management for the Ascensus Retirement platform and worked on building relationships with advisors and business partners. Prior to that, they were the Regional Vice President at Ascensus, where they maintained relationships with business development sources and consulted financial professionals on retirement plan options.

Before joining Ascensus, Ted held positions at Independent Pension Consultants, Ltd./HCM International LLC as the Director of Marketing and Consultant/Qualified Plan Team Leader. Ted developed marketing strategies for retirement products and oversaw the administration of account managers and plans.

Earlier in their career, Ted worked at U.S. Bank N.A. as an Assistant Vice President, where they managed professional employees and multiple types of retirement plans. Ted also worked at United Healthcare as a Senior Benefits Analyst, where they ensured compliance for qualified plans.

Ted's career began at Norwest Corporation, where they served as the Manager of the Savings Investment Plan and handled daily administration, legal compliance, and analysis of proposed changes for the plan.

Ted Samsel obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Concordia University-St. Paul. Ted attended the university from 1987 to 1991.
