Ian Whitaker

Ian Whitaker has accumulated extensive experience in various roles, currently serving as Courseware Design Specialist and Courseware Development Manager at Ascent Flight Training since September 2019. Prior to this, Ian worked at Lockheed Martin as a Production Coordinator from June 2016 to August 2019. Ian also held a position as a Lecturer at Somerset College between September 2010 and May 2016, after working as a Prison Officer for HM Prison Service from November 1998 to September 2010. Ian began a career in law enforcement as a Police Constable with Devon and Cornwall Police from December 1992 to June 1998, following service as a Royal Air Force Supplier in the RAF from October 1984 to August 1992. Ian holds a PGCE in Education from the University of Plymouth, obtained between 2012 and 2014, and A levels in Humanities from Somerset College of Arts and Technology, completed from 1982 to 1984.
