Director Of Business Development at Ascent Integrated Tech

Kevin Sofen is an experienced professional with a background in business development and technology advisory roles. Kevin is the Founder of the Sofen Consulting Group, where they collaborate with Public Safety and Public Health organizations to support community growth and guide business development initiatives. Kevin has also served as the Director of Business Development at Ascent Integrated Tech. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Darley, including Senior Technology Advisor and Director of Innovation, where they focused on integrating cutting-edge technology for public safety applications. Kevin has also worked as a Technology Advisor at the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), where they catalyzed the fire service community to embrace new technology and coordinated industry-leading summits. Kevin has taught as an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University and is the Co-Founder of the Smart FireFighting community and SDG Talks Podcast. Additionally, Kevin has participated in the UNLEASH Innovation lab for Sustainable Development Goals and served as a Board Member for the Elkhart Lake Improvement Association Inc. Kevin also founded the nonprofit Wristsponsible, which aimed to promote water awareness and solutions globally.

Kevin Sofen completed their Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and Human Geography, along with a Certificate in South East Asian Studies, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2008 to 2012. Kevin then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) specializing in International Finance at the DePaul Driehaus College of Business from 2014 to 2016. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois Chicago. Additionally, they participated in a Semester at Sea program focusing on International/Global Studies at the University of Virginia in 2011. Kevin graduated from Mira Costa High School in 2008.
