Fernando Camaro Nogues

Research Engineer at Ascent Robotics

Fernando Camaro Nogues has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Fernando started their career as an R&D Engineer at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2008, where they worked until 2011. After that, they pursued a PHD at Universitat de València from 2011 to 2014. Following their PHD, they interned as a Researcher at NTT from January 2015 to August 2015. From September 2015 to September 2017, they served as a SW Engineer at ZMP Inc. Currently, they are working as a Research Engineer at Ascent Robotics, Inc. where they started in September 2017. Their work at Ascent Robotics includes deep learning techniques, classical ML techniques, and various applications such as object classification, image segmentation, 6D pose estimation, image translation, GANs, unsupervised domain adaptation, and generative models for time-series and reinforcement learning.

Fernando Camaro Nogues obtained a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) between 2002 and 2008. Fernando also completed a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Advanced sciences in modern telecommunications at the University of Valencia from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Fernando has completed the Japan Language Proficiency Test, N2, offered by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services in July 2014. Fernando also obtained certifications in "Intro to Hadoop and MapReduce" from Udacity, although the specific dates are not provided.
