Jeffrey Raymond Kmetz

Jeff Kmetz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Jeff began their career in Berlex Laboratories Inc as an Oncology Sales Training Manager, where they played a key role in creating a computer-based training platform for the Oncology business unit. Jeff then moved on to become an Associate Director of Oncology Marketing, where they developed various programs and tactics to drive the growth of Campath.

Kmetz then joined Bayer Pharmaceuticals, where they held multiple roles including Director of Global Marketing for Campath and Hematology Business Unit Lead. In these positions, they led global brand teams and executed portfolio strategies to launch new products and maintain market dominance in targeted regional markets.

Jeff later joined Alexion Pharmaceuticals as the US Hematology Director of Marketing, where they were responsible for various initiatives aimed at identifying patients with ultra-orphan/rare diseases. During their tenure, they maximized patient identification in non-targeted accounts.

Kmetz then moved to Pharmacyclics, an AbbVie Company, where they held several positions, including Senior Director of Marketing, Executive Director of Global Strategic Marketing, Life Cycle Management, and Business Development, and Head of Commercial Development (VP). In these roles, they led teams, developed strategic plans, and drove commercial growth and expansion into new markets.

Prior to their current role, Kmetz was the Chief Business Officer at Pulse Biosciences, Inc., where they were responsible for developing growth visions and go-to-market strategies for their innovative immune oncology technology.

Currently, Kmetz serves as the Chief Business Officer at Ascentage Pharma, where they continue to contribute their expertise in business development and strategic planning.

Throughout their career, Kmetz has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive growth, expand into new indications and markets, and lead teams to achieve business objectives in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.

Jeff Kmetz completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at Virginia Tech from 1977 to 1980.
