Yifan Chen

Yifan (Joyce) Chen, PhD/MD, has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Yifan (Joyce) is currently serving as a Co-Convener - Medical Information (Volunteer) at ARCS Australia since July 2022. Previously, they worked at Ascentage Pharma, where they held various roles including Medical Manager (Study Physician & MA), Clinical Research Associate, and Clinical Trial Assistant starting from February 2020. Yifan (Joyce) also worked as an Academic (Tutor/Lab demonstrator) at UNSW from May 2017 to December 2018, delivering successful tutorials and workshops for undergraduate students in Medicine and Sciences. Furthermore, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant in Respiratory Diseases at West China Medical Center of Sichuan University from February 2015 to February 2016. Prior to that, they served as a Resident Physician at West China Hospital, Sichuan University from February 2013 to January 2015.

Yifan (Joyce) Chen, PhD/MD, has an extensive education history in the field of medicine and research. Yifan (Joyce) began their academic journey at Luzhou Medical College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Medicine degree from 2007 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Medicine in Respiratory Medicine at Sichuan University from 2012 to 2015.

Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Yifan then enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science/Research at UNSW from 2016 to 2019, further enhancing their expertise in this field.

Yifan (Joyce) received a Registered Physician certification from the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China in December 2013. Additionally, they completed the MSL Training Certificate and the MSL Certificate of Excellence from SCIENCE to PHARMA (FSTP) - MSL global online training in September 2019 and July 2020, respectively.

Furthermore, Yifan has completed The Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (Continuing Education Program) at the University of Tasmania in 2021.
