Savita Matapurkar

Savita Matapurkar has held several roles in the scientific field. Savita is currently a Senior Associate Scientist at Ascidian Therapeutics, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to that, they were at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford from 2019 to 2021, where they held the roles of Lab Math Teaching Assistant, Graduate Student Researcher, Graduate Teaching Assistant for Protein Biochemistry, Academic Tutor for Molecular Biology and Immunotechnology, Lab Aide in Animal Quarters, and Graduate Office Assistant.

Savita Matapurkar obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University between 2015 and 2019. In 2018, they obtained certifications in Industrial Biotechnology from NPTEL and a DL-101 General course on Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Savita is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
