Sam Thompson

Sam Thompson is an accomplished professional in facilities and estates management, currently serving as the Head of Estates at Ascot Racecourse since March 2022. Prior to this role, Sam held the position of Technical Services Director at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort from November 2017 to March 2022. With extensive experience at Merlin Entertainments plc from July 2005 to November 2017, Sam progressed through various roles including Head of Facilities Management, Facilities and Estates Manager, Assistant Facilities Manager, Engineering Team Leader, and Electrical Engineer. Educational qualifications include a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kingston College (2007-2009) and an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Maintenance Engineering from Brooklands College (2001-2006), complemented by foundational education at Ewell Castle (1991-1998).
