Kris Comerford

Kris joined Asda in July 2022 as Chief Commercial Officer, Food. He leads Asda’s food business and is responsible for delivering a market leading proposition for customers.

Kris joined from Tesco, where he was recently UK Commercial Director, Packaged Foods, Fuel and Tobacco. He joined Tesco in 2005 and during this time there was responsible for a number of key categories within the Commercial function. He was appointed Chief Commercial Officer for Tesco Lotus in Thailand before returning to the UK in December 2020.

Throughout his career he has been keen to mentor and support others and worked with Arrival Education, helping new graduates from diverse backgrounds starting out in their career.

He lives in Yorkshire with his wife, two children and the family cat. Having grown up in Mansfield, he is a Mansfield Town supporter, and enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, and watching any kind of sport.
