Jeffrey Hymes

Jeffrey Hymes is an experienced Project Manager currently at Asensus Surgical since August 2021, previously serving as Laboratory Manager at NC State BTEC, where courses in biopharmaceutical manufacturing were developed for industry professionals. Hymes has a solid background in project management and scientific research, with a notable tenure at Symberix, where a platform for novel microbiome-targeted therapeutics was pioneered. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Food Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where research on antibiotic resistance and product development garnered significant recognition. Hymes also founded the first collegiate ukulele ensemble at UNC Chapel Hill, reflecting leadership in extracurricular initiatives.
