Matt Shepherd

Matt Shepherd has over 16 years of experience in property mapping and data management. Currently serving as a Tax Property Mapper for the County of Ashe since October 2007, Matt maintains a comprehensive database of owner information for real property in Ashe County and produces spreadsheets and maps for public and colleague use. Prior to this role, Matt worked as a Mobile Mapper at Tele Atlas for a brief period in 2007, where responsibilities included driving a mobile mapping van to capture road images and collect speed and gradient data. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Appalachian State University, completed in 2006.
