Joshua Martin

Joshua Martin currently serves as an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Ashmore, focusing on the Emerging Markets Local Currency Debt theme, which encompasses sovereign and quasi-sovereign bonds across various global regions. Prior experience includes a summer internship at HSBC, where Joshua shadowed a Senior Portfolio Manager, and an Associate role at upReach. Additional experience in investment management includes internships at St. James’s Place Wealth Management and Aviva, where Joshua contributed to portfolio assessments and asset allocation modeling during the Covid-19 pandemic. Joshua's leadership abilities were demonstrated as the Forex Sector Head for the Leeds University Trading and Investment Society. Academically, Joshua holds a Master of Arts in Politics and International Relations from Durham University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Leeds.
