Ashraya Initiative for Children (AIC)
Sujata Biswas currently serves as the Director of Partnerships at the Ashraya Initiative for Children (AIC) since April 2024. Previously, Sujata held the role of Corporate Partnerships Manager at the Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR) from July 2023 to March 2024 and at The Akshaya Patra Foundation from May 2021 to July 2023, working within the largest Public-Private Partnership in the Mid Day Meal Program. Earlier in Sujata's career, a position as Assistant Sales Manager at ITC Hotels was held from July 2010 to November 2019. Sujata holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration in Manipal (2005-2009) and an MBA in General Sales, Merchandising, and Related Marketing Operations from the Manipal Institute of Management (2008-2010).

Ashraya Initiative for Children (AIC) is a community-based 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to improving the lives and shaping the futures of vulnerable children in Pune, India by advancing educational opportunities, nurturing holistic development and building healthy, empowered communities. The organization has grown significantly over the last decade: today, AIC’s main activities are divided into four distinct yet interconnected programs: the Residential Program, the Education Outreach Program, the Health Outreach Program, and the Community Outreach Program. Each of these programs contributes towards AIC’s broader goal of providing opportunities, resources, and support for vulnerable slum and street children in Pune.
