Michelle Liou

Michelle Liou has accumulated a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Michelle began their professional journey as a Shift Editor at TheLatest.com, Inc. in September 2020, where they held the role until March 2021. Concurrently, Michelle served as a Foreign Policy & Defense Student Intern at Our National Conversation (ONC) from January 2021 to August 2021. In 2019, they worked as a Math Tutor at Afficient Academy. Michelle's editorial skills were further utilized when they became the Writing Team member for Asian American News Network in July 2020, eventually becoming the Editor-in-Chief in July 2022. Additionally, Michelle demonstrated their analytical aptitude as a Foreign Policy Analyst and Research & Policy Fellow at the Institute for Youth in Policy, starting in June 2021. Michelle also assumed the role of Economic Policy Analyst at the same organization from May 2023. Lastly, Michelle worked as a Golf Shop Attendant at Sunnyvale Golf Course and as Co-Director of Curriculum at Project TEAL.org from July 2022 to the present.

In 2022, they also participated in the Yale Young Global Scholars program at Yale University, focusing on Politics, Law, and Economics. Michelle then pursued further education at UCLA from 2023 to 2027, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. In addition to their formal education, Michelle Liou obtained a certification in Scientific Computing with Python from freeCodeCamp in June 2023.
