Murtaza Khwaja

Murtaza Khwaja is currently the Executive Director at Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta. Prior to this role, they were the Executive Director and Legal & Policy Director at CAIR-Georgia. They have a background in law, with experience as a Staff Attorney & Lobbyist, Legal Advocate, and Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University College of Law. Their previous experience also includes roles as a Clinic Student at the Georgia Capital Defender Office and Summer Intern at ICAAD. Murtaza holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Georgia State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History and Political Science from Emory University.
