Hemant Tiwari

Hemant Tiwari is a seasoned professional in transportation engineering with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as a Senior Transport Officer at the Asian Development Bank since August 2022, Hemant also holds the position of Secretary General at the Society of Transport Engineers Nepal and Chairman of Safe and Sustainable Travel Nepal (SSTN), an NGO focused on safe and sustainable transportation systems in Nepal. Previous positions include Lecturer at the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, and Senior Lecturer at the National College of Engineering, where Hemant taught transportation-related subjects and supervised projects. Additionally, Hemant has experience as Managing Director of Traffic & Transport Unlimited Solution, as a Transport Specialist for the Office of the Investment Board, and as Research Director at Aayam Engineering Research and Consultancy. Education includes a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering and a post-graduate degree in Road Safety from Delft University of Technology.
