Masayuki Tachiiri is the current Director of the Strategy, Policy & Business Process Division at the Asian Development Bank. Prior to this, they spent 6 years at the ADB in the Strategy and Policy Department. Tachiiri has also worked for the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund.

After completing their B.A. in economics at Hitotsubashi University, Masayuki Tachiiri pursued a Ph.D. in economics at the University of Chicago. Masayuki then went on to work as a professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
