Nanki Kaur is a seasoned professional in climate change and environmental research, currently serving as a Senior Climate Change Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) since December 2021. Prior to this role, Kaur worked as the Regional Programme Manager for Adaptation and Resilience Building at ICIMOD from December 2018 to December 2021. Kaur's extensive experience also includes positions as a Principal and Senior Researcher at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) from September 2009 to December 2018, a Research Officer at the Overseas Development Institute from May 2006 to September 2009, and a Research Associate at The Energy and Resources Institute from February 2003 to September 2006. Kaur holds a Certificate in Financial Technology from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (2018), a Master of Science in Environmental Social Sciences from the University of Kent (2002), and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lady Shri Ram College For Women (2001). Kaur completed early education at The Lawrence School - Sanawar in India.
