Sonam Tobgay

Sonam Tobgay is a seasoned professional in evaluation and policy development, currently serving as a Senior Evaluation Specialist at FAO since May 2023, focusing on food loss and waste initiatives in the Asia and Pacific Region. Previously, Sonam held roles such as Lead Consultant for FAO on project evaluations in the Pacific Islands, International Policy Development Specialist for the Republic of Tajikistan, and Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for the Royal Government of Cambodia. Additional experience includes serving as a Key Expert at COWI, Senior Project Consultant at the World Trade Organization, Senior Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Planning in Cambodia, and Independent Consultant at Thimphu International Consultants Ltd. Sonam's extensive background encompasses areas such as food security, trade policy, agricultural reforms, and capacity strengthening across various countries and regions.
