Srinivas Sampath

Srinivas Sampath is the current Director of Urban Development & Water Division at Asian Development Bank. Srinivas has over 20 years of experience in the field of infrastructure and project finance, with a focus on public-private partnerships (PPPs).

Sampath began their career in 1999 as a Senior Manager at IL&FS Infrastructure Business. In 2003, they joined the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation as an Adviser & Head of Public-Private Partnerships. During their time at the Commonwealth Fund, they successfully developed and expanded the Fund's PPP advisory business to over 20 countries around the world.

In 2008, Sampath left the Commonwealth Fund to join KPMG Corporate Finance in the UK as an Associate Director in their Global Infrastructure & Projects Group. At KPMG, they were responsible for deal origination and leading execution teams at multiple locations. Srinivas remained with KPMG until 2010, when they joined the Asian Development Bank.

Srinivas Sampath has a PhD in Economic Planning Studies from UCL, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, an MA from Delhi School of Economics, and a BA Honours from Kirori Mal College. Srinivas also has a DTEA School.

Their manager is Ramesh Subramaniam, Director General, Southeast Asia Department. Srinivas Sampath works with Alfredo Perdiguero - Director, Regional Cooperation & Operations Coordination Division, Toru Kubo - Director, Energy Division, and Winfried Wicklein - Deputy Director General.
