Suzanne Gaboury is the current Director General of Private Sector Operations Department at Asian Development Bank. Suzanne has over two decades of experience in the financial sector, with a focus on investment strategy and asset management.
Gaboury began their career as an analyst at a Canadian pension fund. Suzanne then spent several years as a consultant, advising clients on strategic investments and risk management. In May 2018, they became the Chief Investment Officer at FinDev Canada, where they were responsible for setting the organization's investment strategy and overseeing its portfolio of sustainable infrastructure, agribusiness, and financial institution investments.
Under Gaboury's leadership, FinDev Canada became one of the most impactful development finance institutions in the world. In November 2020, they were appointed to their current role at the Asian Development Bank. In this role, they are responsible for the bank's private sector operations, including lending, equity investments, and guarantees.
Gaboury is a passionate advocate for inclusive economic growth and development. Suzanne is a voting member of the Asian Development Bank's Investment Committee and risk management bodies, and provides guidance to the bank's Board of Directors and Advisory Council.
Suzanne Gaboury has an MBA from the Smurfit Graduate School of Business, a certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute, and a BA in Economics from the University of Alberta.
