Marilyn O. has a long and varied work experience. Marilyn began their career in 1996 as a Fiscal Manager for Catholic Charities. In 1999, they transitioned to Living Water Creations, where they worked as a Writer and Motivational Speaker. In 2005, they began working as a Contributing Writer for Grace Today Magazine. In 2010, they added Contributing Writer for Christian-preneur.com to their list of roles. In 2013, they took on the role of Writer for Sepia Prime Woman Digital Magazine. In 2020, they began working as a Blogger for Overcoming Is An Action Word. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Grants Manager for Asian Human Services, Inc.

Marilyn O. obtained their MBA in Accounting from Strayer University in 2018 and their BS in Accounting from Chicago State University in 1991. In October 2021, they obtained their Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
