Neetha Nanoth

Senior Scientist II, Bioinformatics and Biomarkers Lead at Asieris Pharmaceuticals

Neetha Nanoth has worked in the biotechnology field since 2001. Neetha began their career as a Masters Student at Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2001. In 2003, they became a Graduate Student at RGCB - Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, where they recruited patients for clinical studies, collected blood samples, isolated DNA, and designed and executed SNP/copy number detection assays. From 2010-2013, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they worked on projects involving RNA-seq studies of western corn beetle performance on biofuel crops and contrasting environmental and genetic controls of alternative phenotypes. In 2016, they became an Assistant Professor and Instructor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In 2022, they transitioned to CytomX Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist II, where they were a subject matter expert and genomics lead for several biomarker development projects for CytomX clinical trial programs. Neetha is currently a Senior Scientist II, Bioinformatics and Biomarkers Lead at Asieris Pharmaceuticals.

Neetha Nanoth obtained their Bsc in Zoology from the University of Calicut between 1996 and 2000. Neetha then completed their Msc in Biotechnology from the Cochin University of Science and Technology between 1999 and 2001. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Human/Medical Genetics from the University of Kerala between 2003 and 2009.
