Chris Voigt

Co-Founder at Asimov

Chris Voigt has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Chris is currently a Board Member at the Novo Nordisk Foundation, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded Asimov, Inc. in 2017 and continues to serve in that role.

From 2011 to present, Chris has been affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where they have served as a Professor since February 2013. Before being promoted to Professor, they were an Associate Professor from June 2011 to February 2013. In addition to their academic work, Chris is also a Co-Founder of Pivot Bio, a position they have held since September 2011.

Chris's earlier work experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at UCSF from September 2003 to May 2011. Chris also gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from 2002 to 2003.

Chris Voigt earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Caltech, where they attended from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Chris Voigt also attended Brandywine from 1990 to 1994, and the Hong Kong International School from 1986 to 1989, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for these institutions.
