Pramodh Chandrasinghe

Pramodh Chandrasinghe is a distinguished medical professional currently serving as the Chair Professor of Surgery at the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka since December 2023. Concurrently, Pramodh holds multiple positions as a Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon across several prestigious healthcare facilities, including Asiri Group Of Hospitals, Kings Hospital Colombo, NAWALOKA HOSPITAL PLC, Lanka Hospitals PLC, and Hemas Hospitals Sri Lanka, all since October 2019. Academic involvement includes a tenure as Professor and Consultant Surgeon at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, and earlier roles as a Clinical Fellow at St. Mark's Hospital Foundation and Senior Registrar in Surgery at North Colombo Teaching Hospital. Pramodh's academic foundation includes a PhD in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London, awarded in 2021, an MD in Surgery from the University of Colombo, and an MBBS from the University of Kelaniya. Early education was completed at Ananda College.
