Amelia Aguilar

Amelia Aguilar has a strong background in communications, with experience in various industries. Amelia most recently worked as the Communications Director at ASISA since October 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Communications Director at Cuatrecasas, a leading law firm, from September 2014 to September 2018. Amelia also worked as a Communications Advisor to the Secretary of State for Defence at the Ministry of Defence from February 2012 to August 2014. Amelia had earlier roles as the Communications Director, Spain, Portugal & Israel at Boeing from February 2009 to March 2012, the Corporate Communications Manager at AstraZeneca from July 2006 to June 2008, and Director, Corporate Communications, Andean Zone and Central America at GlaxoSmithKline from November 2000 to April 2005.

Amelia Aguilar's education history includes a Degree in Journalism from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, which they obtained from 1984 to 1989. In 1992 and 1993, they attended the Madrid Chamber of Commerce to study Exports. In 2010, they attended the Unidad Editorial - El Mundo Editor to become a Community Manager. Amelia also completed the National Defence Course at CESEDEN. Centre for High Defence Studies in 2013. In 2022, they participated in courses on finance for non-financial professionals and insurance management and hospital management at Asociacion ICEA. In 2023, they pursued a course on sustainability in the insurance sector, also at Asociacion ICEA.
