José Eduardo Gil

José Eduardo Gil has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. José Eduardo currently holds the position of Director of Operations El Paso Live at ASM Global since March 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Eventos Pabellón M as the Director of Operations from September 2021 to March 2023, and as the Venue and Operations Manager from January 2016 to September 2021. José also worked at ECO Venues as a Venue and Operations Manager from February 2014 to January 2016.

In addition, they worked at TV Azteca as the National Special Events Coordinator from May 2013 to December 2013, and as a Marketing Executive from October 2010 to March 2012. José also has experience in the production and events industry, having worked as a Freelance Production Staff member for various companies from March 2003 to September 2010. José Eduardo also held the role of Stage Technician/Rigger at the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees during the same period.

José's early career includes roles at OCESA as a Venue and Operations Manager from August 2012 to May 2013, and as a Production Assistant from June 2012 to August 2012. José Eduardo also gained experience in event production at The University of Texas at El Paso, Special Events, where they worked as Production Staff from November 2002 to September 2010.

José Eduardo Gil obtained a Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on Management, Marketing, and Finance from The University of Texas at El Paso. José Eduardo completed this degree from 2002 to 2009. In addition to their degree, José Eduardo Gil has obtained several certifications.

In 2022, José Eduardo Gil obtained certifications including the 30-Hour OSHA Outreach Training for General Industry from the OSHA Education Center, the S.T.A.R.T. Triage Certification Course from Disaster Management Systems, Inc., the Weapons of Mass Destruction / Terrorism Awareness for Emergency Responders from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, and the Special Events Contingency Planning for Public Safety Agencies from FEMA.

In 2022, José Eduardo Gil also obtained certifications in Emergency Planning, Decision Making and Problem Solving, Effective Communication, Leadership and Influence, and Workplace Security Awareness from FEMA.

In 2021, they obtained the Active Shooter: What You Can Do certification from FEMA. Prior to that, in 2018, José Eduardo Gil completed the Curso de Gestión de Proyectos from Universidad Tecmilenio, the Event Safety Access Training from Event Safety Alliance, and became a Trained Crowd Manager from the International Association of Venue Managers.
