Scott Scowden

Scott Scowden has over 20 years of experience in software development and consulting. Scott is currently working as a Lead Software Developer at ASM Group Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Developer at the same company from May 2018 to April 2023.

Before joining ASM Group Inc., Scott was the Owner & Cloud Architect at Scowden Consulting, where they helped businesses build custom high-performance solutions and provided expertise in C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework, and Agile methodologies. Scott also advised clients on leveraging Azure and AWS cloud platforms and developed migration solutions for hybrid cloud implementations. Scott started their consulting business in January 2015 and is still actively involved.

Scott has also worked as a Senior Applications Developer (Consultant) at Raven Solutions, where they developed products for the Department of Defense (DoD) hosted in AWS GovCloud, meeting Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) security standards. During their time there, they also created a Military Ticket Program to manage inventory, billing, accounting, and sale of discounted tickets for military members.

Prior to Raven Solutions, Scott was a Senior Applications Developer (Consultant) at HealthFitness, where they led a team of developers and managed code reviews, commits, builds, merges, and deployments. Scott implemented Azure products such as Service Bus, Redis, SendGrid, Blob Storage, CDN, Web Roles, and Worker Roles. Scott rewrote a platform solution using Kentico CMS as HealthFitness's first venture into the cloud.

Scott has also worked at Disney Vacation Club as a Senior Applications Developer, helping implement a system to manage time share memberships and contracts. Scott was responsible for managing dues for members, including billing, statements, and financial accounting.

Earlier in their career, Scott worked at Fairwinds Credit Union as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed tools to improve business and customer experience. Scott completed major projects such as rewriting the customer-facing loan origination system and creating a mobile app for onboarding college students.

Scott's career started at Harrington Group as a Software Engineer, where they developed web and desktop software applications using both C# and VB.NET. Scott then worked at Motorola as a Software Developer, gaining experience before transitioning to Harrington Group.

Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages, cloud platforms, and development methodologies.

Scott Scowden attended the University of Central Florida from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. In August 2017, they also obtained the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Developer Associate certification from Amazon.
