Alexander Markov has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as the Head of Intellectual Property Commercialization and Licensing at ASM since September 2006. In this role, Alexander manages the protection and commercialization of ASM's IP portfolio and oversees the global licensing program for high-value spare parts and technology patents. Prior experience includes positions such as R&D Lab Facilities and Global Product Support Sr. Manager, where project cost improvements were achieved, and Global Equipment Services Manager, managing a large engineering team for successful equipment services installations. Alexander also worked at Intel Corporation from 1996 to 2006, culminating in the position of Engineering Manager, leading teams in the installation and qualification of advanced wafer fabrication equipment. Alexander holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from UCLA and an MBA in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
