Karim El Roz

Karim El Roz, PhD, is a Senior Process Engineer II at ASM since September 2022, specializing in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Area Selective Deposition. Previously, Karim worked as a Process Engineer at Intel Corporation from July 2019 to November 2022, focusing on thin films, particularly in CVD and PECVD technologies. Karim's academic background includes a postdoctoral research position at the University of Southern California, where research emphasized the development of high-efficiency fluorescent and phosphorescent materials for OLED devices. Karim earned a PhD in Chemistry from North Carolina State University, where research centered on photocatalysis and molecular photophysics. Earlier, Karim completed a BS in Chemistry at the American University of Beirut and held research assistant and teaching assistant roles throughout academic training.
