Koji Abe

Koji ABE currently serves as Vice President at VLP Therapeutics, starting in April 2023. ABE has been General Manager of Strategic Investment at Sojitz since 2016, focusing on the Asia Pacific region across IT, food, retail, and real estate sectors. ABE is also a Director at Socion, AsMedix, and Footwork Express, where responsibilities include corporate strategy, finance, business development, IPOs, and M&A, with dispatch from Ridgeway Capital. Previous roles include Partner at OPE Partners and Vice President at Orix Corporation. ABE has substantial experience in managing investment funds, particularly in the IT industry, gained during tenure as General Manager at Softbank Investment. ABE holds an MBA with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and General Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and dual Bachelor of Laws degrees from The University of Tokyo.
