Arjan van der Sijs

Arjan van der Sijs has extensive experience in development and engineering, currently serving as the Head of Development and Engineering for the Business Line Mature Products and Services at ASML since October 1998. Van der Sijs has led significant initiatives, including the restructuring of the Metrology department and the establishment of the Metrology Architecture and Test group. Previous roles include Senior Manager in Development and Engineering, Head of Development and Engineering Quality, Group Leader, Project Leader, and Senior Designer and Team Leader, all contributing to advanced projects in high-level control, calibration metrology, and product quality. Prior to ASML, van der Sijs held research positions at ETH Zurich, University of Zaragoza, and University of Oxford, specializing in theoretical and computational elementary particle physics. Arjan van der Sijs earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Amsterdam and an MSc in Theoretical Physics from Utrecht University.
