Romain Douville-Parent has a diverse range of work experience in the gaming industry. Romain currently holds the position of Senior Game Designer at Asobo Studio, starting in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at iLLOGIKA for almost a decade. At iLLOGIKA, Romain served as a Senior Game Designer and was involved in various projects. Romain worked on a licensed PC/Console game, where they were responsible for designing innovative infiltration gameplay in Unreal Engine. Additionally, they successfully pitched an innovative gameplay concept for a mobile game to Zenimax Online Studios. Romain also worked as a Game Designer/Project Manager for the development of a Roguelike game titled "Subaeria" on console. Romain played a key role in securing funding for the project and built and managed a team of 3 to 15 individuals. Prior to their time at iLLOGIKA, Romain worked as a facilitator/Game designer at Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, where they created literacy activities and games for children between the ages of 7 to 14.

Romain Douville-Parent's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Concervatoir de Musique de Montréal. Romain pursued a Cégep degree in saxophone interpretation. From 2004 to 2009, they then attended Université du Québec à Montréal, where they graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Animation and Cultural Studies. In 2009, they pursued a minor in History at Université du Québec à Montréal. The following academic year, from 2010 to 2011, they studied cinematography at Université de Montréal. Romain then obtained a Diploma of Specialized Higher Studies in Game Design from the same university in 2011-2012.
