Luis Manuel Richard Sonences

Luis Manuel Richard Sonences is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in the field of surgery and academia. Currently serving as a university professor at Universidad Autónoma de Centro América and Universidad Federada San Judas Tadeo since January 2020, along with their role as a General Surgeon specializing in Trauma and Emergencies at Universidad Central de Venezuela since 2017. Luis Manuel holds leadership positions as an instructor for the Definitive Surgical Trauma Course and the Surgical Skills in Trauma Course within relevant professional societies, including the Asociación Española de Cirujanos and the Sociedad Panamericana de Trauma. Additionally, Luis Manuel is actively involved as the Secretary of Organization for the Sociedad Venezolana de Cirugía. Previously, Luis Manuel led the Unit for Polytraumatized Patients at the Instituto Venezolano de los Seguros Sociales from 2016 to 2019. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad de Carabobo and a specialization in General Surgery from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
