Shelter Support Volunteer at ASPCA

Divya Shah is an accomplished student at Hunter College, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry with expected graduation in December 2025. Currently serving as a PHMI Ambassador, Mentor, and Peer Teaching Assistant for General and Organic Chemistry, Divya also holds an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at the Advanced Science Research Center, GC/CUNY, and participates in the Undergraduate Plummer Scholars Plus program at Mayo Clinic. As a Shelter Support Volunteer with the ASPCA and an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Hunter Psycho-Oncology Lab, Divya demonstrates a strong commitment to both community service and research. Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Dry Harbor Nursing Home includes providing individualized care for over 70 residents. Additional roles include Medical Assistant at New York Fertility and STANDOUT Research Intern at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Divya has also tutored students in Biology through Khan's Tutorial.
