Matthew Ring is a Regulatory Counsel for the ASPCA, focusing on Legal Advocacy and Investigations since August 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Attorney-Adviser at the U.S. Department of Energy from September 2019 to July 2023, and as an Attorney Adviser in Regulatory Affairs for FEMA from June 2018 to August 2019. Matthew also worked as an Associate at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP between February 2017 and May 2018, and as an Attorney for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from August 2015 to February 2017. Matthew holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resource Law from Lewis & Clark Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences and Environmental Studies from Denison University.
