Meredith Hou

Meredith Hou currently serves as the Director of Federal Legislation at the ASPCA since November 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Science and Government Relations Counsel at the American Wild Horse Campaign from December 2020 to October 2023 and a Wildlife & Marine Resources Law Clerk at the Department of Justice for a brief period in late 2019. Previous internships at Animal Wellness Action and the Animal Welfare Institute focused on wildlife law and animal advocacy. Additionally, Meredith has experience as an Ambulatory Veterinary Technician with Fairfield Equine Associates and held research positions at Princeton University and Yale University. Educational background includes a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Princeton University.
